After another long moment of staring with a furrowed brow, he retreats into the closet, puts the beads back just the way he found them, closes the very sensual drawer, and returns empty-handed.]

[He flashes her yet another smile. Such pleasures are largely foreign to him, anyway.]

[He flustered her, all right. Some fresh air ought to do the trick, so he walks over to the sliding doors.]

[Turning toward her, he slides the door open and beckons for her to step outside first.]

[Nothing sets his heart beating like a shelfful of ancient tomes; however, the view afforded by their location is nothing short of breathtaking as he follows suit.]

My view of the world as I've lived has mainly consisted of the walls that border Atlasdam; however, I recently returned from a journey that took me across Orsterra. I was fortunate enough to behold similarly striking sights then.

I do not see why not . . . While some individuals like myself are born with a high aptitude for magic, that by no means precludes the rest. Virtually anyone can learn, provided the desire is there.

Though I have a grimoire with me, its invocations are perhaps too advanced for a beginner. Once I return to Atlasdam, I'll procure the appropriate tomes for your learning . . . unless you would prefer to grasp the healing arts?

In battle, yes. Aelfric's light mends wounds and smites foes while Dohter's teachings address various ailments. Though I don't claim to be an expert in either, I did dabble in both practices for a time. I'm at least well-versed enough in light magic to impart foundational knowledge of Aelfric's teachings to you, if you are interested.
